I am very happy to be part of the Photosynthesis Magazine #1: ORIGINS.
This issue of the magazine searches for artist’s way of sorting thoughts and memories, a way of combining them, and a way of connecting them to new ideas and philosophies.
My entry for Photosynthesis Magazine shows my way of using collage as a medium predominantly to explore, engage with, and process my past. Incorporated into my analog and digital collages are black and white photos I found on my grandfather‘s attic, recent photos I took, intertwined with drawings, newspaper cuttings, and embroidery. The act of embroidering ancient photos and stitching them together with recent ones represents an act of deep connection with my origins and bridging the gap of time.
